Warhammer Darkness falls type dungeon

Alot of people are saying how a dungeon like Darkness Falls in DAOC would be a nice addition to WAR but...



How would it work?



Anyone have any ideas?

I know what Darkness Falls is, but how would it work in WAR. There are 6 races, but only 2 'realms'.



A majority of the 2 faction holds the keeps..



I mentioned this in another thread. Darkness Falls rocked as it gave you something to fight for in DAoC.. Here, keeps flip-flop so much it's never really worth it unless you want to farm renown which doesn't happen due to the low amounts already given.



Give us something to fight for so defending a keep is important



I know but how many entrances would there be?



It could either be 2 or 6, 2 for each side (order, destruction) or 6 for each race.



2 entrances in the main cities would suffice i think. More to come when the rest of the main cities get added.






And i'd really like to see a dungeon like DF added to Warhammer.



Hows about this:



1. 8 entrances, one in each tier, per realm.


2. Entry controled by PvE guarded towers, not the PvP ones.


3. Steps (like DF) blocking players too high from low areas, eg tier 4 from entering tier 1 and 2, and so on. Enuff with the lowbie killin!


4. A %26quot;seal%26quot; type system like DF too, with merchants selling OKish armour and weapons.


5. Renown for killing %26quot;boss%26quot; mobs deep inside, areas where both factions can get to easily.



Darkness Falls was one of my favourite things to do or be in in DAOC. That would be an awesome idea! Only thing is, the majority of people might start to spread out to much. Depends on the population of the server really.


This would actually take away alot of the fun and also the excitement DF had. It was always really nice to hunt lowbie killers when your realm controlled DF. I always enjoyed the danger of beeing killed by a high level player.






Easiest layout would be like DF was. Steps at the entrance so they can't just spawn/zoneincamp you then increasing difficulty of mobs towards the middle from both sides entrances.
