Miley Cyrus recently teamed back up with BCBG designer Max Azria, for the part two collection that’s sold exclusively at giant retailer Wal-Mart.
The news: The Center for Environmental Health has discovered high levels of lead in purses and wallets by the Miley Cyrus brand. On the official CEH website they most recently found three lead-tainted accessories at Wal-Mart, including a wallet that was contaminated with over 30 times the lead limit.louie vitton

What’s the big deal? Lead is toxic! The US Centers for Disease Control says that even in the smallest dose, lead poses severe health threats, especially to pregnant women, women of child-bearing age, and their babies.
And this isn’t the first time Miley Cyrus accessories are making headlines for containing toxins. Back in May, Wal-Mart had to pull their entire line of Miley Cyrus necklaces and bracelets after the CEH tests revealed high levels of the toxic metal cadmium. Cadmium is especially toxic to children. If ingested it can weaken bones and kidneys, also may hinder brain development. It’s not considered to be too dangerous if simply being worn, however concerns arise if you have a youngster running around who may bite or suck on the jewelry, as many children are apt to do.
