How on earth can we progress with this RNG for loot?

Bastion Stair:

We have litterally done East, West about 20+ times and North wing about 7 times.

Our tank goes EVERY single time. EVERY time. He only has one piece of his set. How do we move on to the next dungeon if we can't get the loot to drop for the right classes in the 1st one???

We did Slaurith today and he dropped 2 squig hearder shoulders and chosen gloves. Not a single squig or chosen in the group.

We had one waiting outside in the warband, so we tried to swap him out to come loot, and of course he gets the message stating that he does not match the progress of the group. Of course the shoulders are also BoP.

This has happened to us on almost every run, we rarely ever get any items that someone can actually equip. The bosses should drop a token or something so you can go turn it in to an NPC and get your gear. This Random Lootgenerator is rediculous and going to prevent a lot of guilds from progressing just because of %26quot;Luck%26quot; and nothing else.

When you're in competition for the realm to be the 1st alliance on the server to take a city it's going to suck to realize that the only reason you lost is because the other guys got luckier with the %26quot;loot rolls%26quot; than you're team did.

I don't know what can be done about this other than an NPC to purchase them from but something definitely needs to be done. There are other guilds already in Lost Vale because they've had %26quot;better drop rates%26quot; on the stuff they need. (Not to deny they've mostlikely done more runs than us and might have done The city dungeons with only 2-3 pieces instead of 5, but still the %26quot;loot roll%26quot; shouldn't unbalance the outcome of the game.

The token suggestion is pretty solid

Bosses could either drop a limited number of classfree tokens for all members to roll on, or it could grant a token to everyone on each kill.

That'd both provide sense of accomplishment, reason to repeat and a decent rate of progression from one part to the next.

You mean like the tier token system in WoW, just that it isn't class based. right nopw i'd have them fix the crapy itemization instead of drops honestly.

Well in WoW they do like this for high end content set items, certain raidbosses you kill drop so called %26quot;tokens%26quot;, theese tokens are then used at special vendors to buy a set item for your class.

That's why i drew the paralell. So see the link now i made between the idea and WoW. This isn't WoW tho. But i still stand by that they should fix the itemizastion issues.

so you want to get full set per one run? what the fun than? No farm ? no point then.

l2p. if you need bloodlord set in Bloodwrouth Enclave i am realy pitty for you.

It is a matter of farm not a matter of luck. Stop whining . Please. Carebear.

The point is, you could farm, in theory. Bastion Stair EVERY DAY for the next year, and still not manage to gear up your tank if you're unlucky - much less everyone else.

That is just ridiculous - something needs to be done, since the set progression is locked out for people who could be the best, most dedicated players but are simply unlucky.

If the sets were not 'required' in the words of mythic, it would be a different story

Its pretty shocking how a RvR focused game has PvE grinding for RvR gear.

If my group does their stuff right, gets in, kills the boss, we want a reward. We do not want useless gear we cannot use or trade off. That is not a reward. That is a slap in the face.

There are extremely easy fixes to this, the question is whether mythic wants to eliminate the item grinding and actually make dungeon runs fun, or take the easy way out and ignore their customers.

One example is to make the loot generator check which classes are in the party, and award gear accordingly. E.G. 2 ironbreakers, 2 bright wizards and 2 archmages kill a bos, the boss will only generate loot for these 3 classes, and in appropriate amounts to take into account the party size and distribution of classes, so everyone gets SOMETHING....and its something they can use.

The expression %26quot;Blatent grind%26quot; comes to mind

I'm sure they'll change it though. They can't honestly be expecting people who come for the RvR to have a PvE %26amp; DKP mindset.

Why not just have the boss drop a loot bag instead of a token? It's already implemented.

Course they can. It worked for Blizzard. It will damn well work for every other company that makes a Blizzard clone as well. Keep the masses coming back, even if they hate it. Gotta grind a dungeon run 600 times for a loot drop? Oh, youll do it, and youll keep doing it.

*shrug*

You know Im right. Its THE model of MMO gaming for now. Until a Dev team grows enouhg balls to make a sandbox, level-free MMO that is.

Want to guess what game I'd be playing if I wanted to play WoW? You get one guess- that's how much faith I have in you.

I'm not resubbing unless they show an indicator that they aren't going to accept this luck based system. If they truly don't care then I guess it doesn't matter to anyone.
